Right from the start to the finish.
One of the important aspects in production in steel and metal related industry is the quality of the pre-treatment and post-treatment process. Getting this two processes right will significantly contributes to the quality of the finished product.
MCT offers extensive range of products to meet your need on various application. You will find products for de-phosphating, removing of rust, passivation process as well as brightener for aluminium component that will give your product lustrous appearance. Not only for your product, we offer cleaning agent for your floor as well so that everything is clean; from start to finish.
What is the purpose of surface treatment?
Knowing the definition of the treatment and its importance – either structurally or visually.
In processes that involves heat treatment on a component, proper removal of phosphate layer (dephosphating) prior to the heat treatment is crucial to prevent formation of delta ferrite layer composed of a phosphate coatings and phosphatizing coating that are difficult to remove. Heat treatment with phosphorus results in grain boundary segregation, causing embrittlement and a reduction in lattice bonding forces and resulting in a high risk of fracturing when components are used in high-temperature environments or undergo multiaxial stresses. – Shao-Yi Hsia, Yu-Tuan Chou and Jung-Chi (Robin) Chao; A study of high-strength bolts after dephosphoring. ECM has allowed the production of complicated profiles on 3-dimensional surfaces regardless of the hardness and strength of the material. However, iron atoms in the work piece is displaced on to the surface and eventually forms rust. This rust needs to be removed from the surface of the work piece effectively without attacking the material itself. Neutral cleaning agents are used instead of acids or alkalines and the surface is returned to its initial condition
Protective layer on the outer most surface of aluminium formed by a chemical reaction with oxygen prevents it from oxidation but in turns may cause the lustre faded and become matte over time. Aluminium can be polished to a high gloss, but it has to be fully decontaminated before this is possible. Aluminium brightener may be acidic of varying strength or alkaline
